Intoduction to the Tigre Horse

From an ancient Chinese painting to the 21st century!
We feel reasonably certain from preserved ancient art that our image of the Tiger Horse’s appearance is accurate, although, the ancient Tiger Horse is extinct and we have no way of knowing what the precise color or physical characteristics truly were. The breed founder, Victoria Varley, managed to unlock a formula for the successful recreation of a modern day version of the once famous Siberian horse, thus creating the breed seen today. Her breeding program embodies multiple generations, and many of the finest Tiger Horses created to date. From ancient art to modern examples of the breed, the similarities to antiquity are truly remarkable.
Fortunately for us, before the original horse became extinct, it was out-crossed to a variety of breeds world wide. Many of the original characteristics have therefore been preserved for us to extract. We are extremely grateful to all those nations, and breeds, down through the ages who preserved them.
Of course it is difficult if not impossible in one lifetime to separate out all the unwanted genetic material that was also inherited by different breeds in various countries where infusions were inevitable. As we only have modern day horses with which to work, our pace is slower than we would like, but we have made huge leaps in the right direction and are producing a magnificent modern day horse which is beginning to breed true to our stated phenotype of antiquity, ie., "they not only look alike but also have the genetics to insure they will reproduce alike with regular consistency"
