This type of Ghost Horse is known for transferring leopard spots to its foals. When this type has been produced by cross
breeding (one gaited parent and one color producing Appaloosa), its tendency is to inherit the Gliding gait, rather than the stronger middle gaits we prefer. Further study is
underway regarding this curiosity.
This type is known as A Snowcap Ghost Horse and belongs to the roan family. Both types of Ghost Horse are born as you see them on this
page. The Snowcaps however, will make some changes to the darker areas as they mature. Snowcaps tend to follow the gender related rule regarding inherited gait.
As you can see this fine colt is performing a strong lateral gait. Apart from the ethereal beauty of these two types of Ghost horse, is
the knowledge that they are homozygous for the leopard complex gene. This means they got two copies themselves so will always transfer one copy to their foals.
